Ongoing Scene Study Class

The Premiere Scene Study Class is for actors who are committed to refining their own skills and techniques on a consistent basis. They dive into assigned material – scenes with a partner, individual projects with a reader, and solo monologue work– and have the opportunities not only to self-assess, but also to grow from notes and direction provided by professional working actors & coaches. This on-going scene work teaches actors how to own and exercise all the necessary tools – scene analysis, memorization, emotional recall, backstory, space work, tear sticks, eye contact, believability, connection, and more – all of which will carry over into audition prep and professional acting work. A specific focus in the class is placed on consistently making truthful and repeatable choices which are wholly believable in any medium, be it theater, television, or film. And because the class is intentionally limited in size, each actor gets to work in every class!
The Premiere Scene Study Class is taught by Abbie Cobb who has dozens of television shows, feature films, and theater performances under her belt. She is a member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA.
