Sarah Abel is on the creative leadership team at The Greenhouse and is the director of The Greenhouse Writers Group. Hailing from a south suburb of Chicago, Sarah has had a fascination with film ever since seeing her first movie, Lady and the Tramp. She went to the University of Iowa, where she studied cinema and theatre. Since then, she has focused her creative energy towards animation and writing. She is the Program Director and Media Arts teacher for an after-school program. She is also the creative director of You-nique Productions, LLC, where they produce children’s books and movies, including Charlie The Short Necked Giraffe. Sarah has been a part of The Greenhouse for many years. The L.A. experience can sometimes feel paralyzing and overwhelming, and so, to Sarah, The Greenhouse is more than a community — it’s a home full of friends and a supporting environment.
